Availability of Organizational Energy Dimensions among Faculty Members in Arab Universities from Their Point of View

Abstract


The study aimed to figure out the degree of the availability of the dimensions of the organizational energy among the faculty members in the Arab universities from their point of view. The researchers used the descriptive approach and the study population consisted of all the faculty members at Nazwa University, Sahar University, both in Oman, and Irbid national university and Jadara University in Jordan. Thus, the study sample consisted of (462) members of the faculty staff who were randomly selected. The study adopted the questionnaire as a study tool which consisted of (4) dimensions of the organizational energy as follows: (emotional energy, cognitive energy, physical energy, and social energy). The results of the study concluded that the degree of the availability of the dimensions of the organizational energy among the faculty members was medium by a mean of (3.45). the emotional energy was ranked first by the highest mean of (3.54), while the social energy was ranked last by a mean of (3.37), and that there were no statistically significant differences at sig. (α= 0.05) due to the impact of gender and years of experience in all fields and in the total degree. The recommendations include the need the university provides opportunities for exchanging experiences among the faculty staff in various Arab universities so as to keep up with the modern scientific developments to serve the economic and social development goals.
